About Dr. Rumancik:
Raised on a small prairie farm in Saskatchewan, I developed an appreciation for the healing properties of the body and the effects of natural remedies on it. I studied both science and fine arts at the University of Regina and later dedicating six years to environment conservation through employment with government, non-profit organizations, consulting companies, and research while developing a love for flora, fauna, and being outdoors. Nature is medicine.
After a six-month backpacking trip across South America I was inspired to change career paths. Later moving to BC and attending the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster I received my Naturopathic designation.

Having a personal interest in treating not only the body, but the mind, and energy systems I continue to research, self-study, and train in new techniques to provide the best possible care. I am excited to now be offering ozone therapy, ultraviolet blood irradiation, IV therapy, and joint injections. I also have prescriptive authority. In my free time I love being outdoors whether hiking, swimming, or biking as well as cooking, creating art decor, and hanging out with my adored baby girl, family and friends.
Through personalized care and small, impactful changes I aim to help you achieve balance, an understanding of your body, and prevent future illness. I strive to provide a welcoming, supportive space where your health and wellness are my top priority.
Let's work together on your journey to better health.
What to Expect in a Consult:
The first appointment sets the foundation for your personalized health journey where I take the time to thoroughly understand your unique health history and your goals moving forward. I hope to offer the most comprehensive approach possible tailored to your lifestyle.
Thorough Consultations: my consultations are all about listening, understanding, and diagnosing what is going on as well as learning what your goals are moving forwards. Numerous treatment options are available to meet you where you are at in a safe, non-judgmental space.
Physical Exams & Diagnostic Testing: when indicated in-house physical exams will be done and often, I will send you out for or home with additional testing. For me this is an essential part of one's health journey - not only to understand where you are at, but to track your future progress. This may involve bringing in lab testing, going to the nearest Life Labs, or taking home a comprehensive test kit for such things as heavy metals, toxic exposures, mold, SIBO, food sensitivities, etc. Individualized Treatment Plans: each patient is unique and as such requires an equally unique, personalized treatment plan. I will not make you do or take anything you do not want to, but together, we will set up a health plan that is manageable and aligns with your lifestyle and health goals. |
Why Choose My Care:
Educational Approach: I provide education around the most likely factor contributing to your ailment(s) and strategies to prevent future illness. I believe when you fully understand what is going on in your body, you are more likely to commit to making healthy changes towards a vibrant life well into old age.
Personalized Time: as a naturopathic physician, I spend up to an hour with each patient, addressing all health concerns and getting to the root of issues. This allows for a thorough history to be taken in a safe, supportive setting without feeling like you are being rushed out the door.

Conditions I Treat:
The conditions I commonly treat (but is not limited to) includes:
- Indigestion (bloating, constipation, diarrhea, heartburn, infection)
- Female health (PCOS, Dysmenorrhea, endometriosis, fibroids, cervical dysplasia, etc.)
- Fertility (both male and female)
- Cardiovascular health (hypertension and atherosclerosis)
- Diabetes, Insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, fatty liver
- Toxic exposures (liver and gallbladder support)
- Weight gain
- Insomnia
- Fatigue
- Anemia
- Skin conditions (acne, eczema, psoriasis)
Special Interest in Reproductive Health: My personal journey with fertility has led me to have a special interest in this area. As an older mom who has experienced multiple miscarriages and a stillborn baby, I've learned a lot along the way. I am unbelievably grateful for my healthy baby girl today and want to help others experience the love and joy that parenthood can bring, whether conceiving naturally or through IVF. Even if you do not want to become pregnant, by focusing on having the healthiest reproductive health possible it encourages longevity and a better quality of life. |
